Ardbeg Uigeadail (pronounced “Oog-a-dal”), meaning “a dark, mysterious place” in Gaelic, takes its name from the distillery’s peaty water source, Loch Uigeadail. This whisky is an exceptional blend of sweetness, spice, and deep smokiness, combining the rich character of ex-bourbon American oak casks with the raisin-like depth of ex-Oloroso sherry casks. Non chill-filtered and bottled at 54.2% ABV, Uigeadail is perfect for those who appreciate bold, intense flavors, making it ideal for stormy evenings.

Tasting Notes:

Nose: A complex bouquet of rich smoky tones, intertwined with sweet sherry notes, dried fruits, and a touch of earthy peat.

Palate: Full-bodied and richly textured, offering an intricate balance of sweet honey, winter spices, and smoky flavors. A mid-palate of smoked meats and treacle adds to the layered complexity. The smoke builds steadily, reminiscent of a fine cigar, while treacle and chewy toffee round out the experience.

Finish: Incredibly long and chewy, leaving behind lingering notes of raisins, mocha, and a persistent aromatic smoke.
