Oak Casks — Macallan sources European and American oak specifically for seasoning with sherry in Jerez, Spain, before shipping to Scotland. This imparts the signature richness, dried fruit, and spice.

Sherry Influence — More than any other mainstream distillery, Macallan leans into ex-sherry casks. Sherry imparts colour, sweetness, dried fruit, and wonderful complexity.

Natural Colour — Premium Macallan expressions use no artificial colouring. What you see in the glass comes entirely from the wood and sherry.

The Macallan Core Range

Macallan 12 Year Old Double Cask

The ideal entry point. Aged in American and European sherry oak. Lighter and more accessible — vanilla, dried fruit, ginger, and a hint of wood spice. Best served neat or with a single ice cube.

Macallan 12 Year Old Sherry Oak

Richer, darker, and more intense. Notes of dried currant, orange peel, dark chocolate, and warming spice. Best served neat.

Macallan 18 Year Old Double Cask

Eighteen years of maturation creates layers of flavour — toffee, cinnamon, orange zest, ginger, and a long, warming finish. Take your time with this one.

Macallan 18 Year Old Sherry Oak

One of Scotland’s most celebrated whiskies. Rich mahogany colour, intense dried fruit, chocolate, tobacco, and a magnificent long finish. The 18 Sherry Oak has consistently appreciated in value.

Macallan 25 Year Old

Extraordinary depth — dark fruit, sandalwood, old leather, and intense sherry sweetness. Available in very limited quantities. Contact our team directly.
